Our doggos are the best thing to happen to our mental health since therapy. They give us a reason to get out of bed every morning, and to come home at night. They give us a reason to go to bed earlier so we won't be as tired when they start licking our faces at 7 AM to say, "Wake up - it's breakfast time!" They come and cuddle with us after work and fall asleep in our arms while we watch the new Harry Potter series on HBO. Without them, we would have nothing to anchor our lives down to, nothing to keep us thinking about moving forward.

Don't get us wrong, it's not all sunshine and rainbows. We come home to their guilty faces and find a shoe completely ripped to shreds, or occasionally get woken up in the middle of the night by them "protecting" us from a squirrel that dared get close to our window. Even though one of our doggos has the most glorious tail (it's all curled up like a cinnamon bun), when she gets excited, she wags her whole behind instead of just her tail. It's quite possibly the cutest thing in the whole entire universe. You know she's really excited when she can't even walk straight because her behind is moving back and forth so fast!
